Our Audiologist – Ormond Beach Hearing Center
Dr. Indira Alvarez, Au.D., F-AAA
Dr. Alvarez has lived in Florida all her life. She graduated with honors from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders and a clinical Doctorate in Audiology. She completed residencies with Department of Veteran’s Affairs, All Children’s Hospital, and several private practice clinics. She is bilingual and a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, and licensed to practice in the state of Florida. Her specialties are geriatric aural rehabilitation and tinnitus and she is Board Certified in Audiology.
Dr. Alvarez has been a guest lecturer regarding the effects of hearing loss and aging at the University of South Florida, and published in the Florida Academy of Audiology’s The Advocate, The Hearing Review and The Hearing Journal. She lives in Ponce Inlet with her husband and two boys, Adrian and Ben, and her Welch Terrior, Ginger. She loves to create things- she sews, knits, paints and draws, and any given Sunday you will find her at the beach making something with her hands.
Dr. Dawn MacMillan, Au.D., F-AAA
Dr. Dawn MacMillan earned her Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University and has over 20 years of experience in the field. She has been in both a private practice and an ENT setting previously and is looking forward to returning to a private audiology practice setting. She enjoys counseling patients on hearing loss and personalized solutions to improve quality of life. Dr. MacMillan is married with two daughters and enjoys reading, baking, and spending time at the beach.
